Hey there! I’m Kaitlyn. I’m an award-winning Midwestern journalist.

You have a story. I’ll help you share it.

About Me

I’m a freelance journalist writing about pets, books, and more. I work with small publications and websites that have millions of visitors each month.

Whether it’s warning pet owners about the dangers of caffeine consumption or profiling a black pug promoting literacy, I tell stories that help people be better informed.

I graduated from Ball State University, where I studied magazine journalism and sociology. I’ve written for the American Kennel Club, Bankrate, Betterpet, Cuteness, and many other publications.

I live in Louisville, Kentucky by way of small-town Indiana. When I’m not writing, I’m curled up with a romance novel or watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

If you’re ready for smarter storytelling, I’d like to help.

Editorial Content

Content drives connection. I deliver high-quality interesting copy on tight deadlines. I write SEO-friendly journalistic features, profiles, Q&As, news stories, and more. I’m also available for live event coverage, fact-checking, and transcription.

Blog Posts

With years of crafting compelling copy under my belt, I can develop sponsored articles for your brand. I can develop blog posts complete with research and interviews to bolster your website credibility to help your business stand out.

I can help you engage your audience with ghostwritten blog posts. I do charge an additional 20% fee because my byline and website aren’t connected to the project.
